Volunteers needed to show art that matters to them

We are curating an exhibition of art selected from homes across Fitzrovia and are looking for volunteers to display their favourite pieces.

With houses ranging from sumptuous residences to quirky apartments and family homes, the focus of the exhibition will be on reflecting people’s passion for design and questioning how art finds a place in our homes and lives. Set together in the chapel, these pieces will literally display the true diversity of the area, as well as referencing its historical, cultural and artistic roots.

Do you have a special piece of art – and a story to tell about it?

Throughout the summer, we will photograph residents in 50 households alongside a key piece of art or photography in their own homes. We will then select 12 pieces for installation as part of our exhibition, Dwelling, in the chapel in November 2018, together with all the images. The exhibition and associated events will explore the design choices, style and perceptions of beauty of those 50 households.

If you would like to be part of the exhibition and nominate your residence and art piece, email Kate at kate.thorogood@fitzroviachapel.org.  Please include a few sentences about why you are putting your name forward.
