Join our Camden Tour Guides, Judy Dixey and Cathy Chivers, as they take you along the streets of Fitzrovia, telling you the fascinating story of the area and the people who lived here. The tour ends at the magical Fitzrovia Chapel, the jewel of the area.
On our Fitzrovia walk you will hear about notable characters of this historic part of London as you see the buildings they lived, worked and loved in. They include artists, politicians, inventors, engineers and authors. There are even a few murderers along the way.
You’ll find out that Fitzrovia has been a place of poverty, workhouses, hospitals and chapels alongside embassies and fine Georgian buildings.
This is a walking tour lasting around 90 minutes. Please wear comfortable shoes. Please note the tour begins at Warren Street Station and finishes at the Chapel.
This tour is part of Westminster’s Inside Out Festival and is in partnership with the Fitzrovia Community Centre. If price is a barrier to taking part in the walk, please email us at info@fitzroviachapel.org for your free ticket. Otherwise, you can reserve your place on Eventbrite.
