Opens Days at the Chapel
Our Wednesday open days are a time for visitors to wander in to the chapel and absorb the history and beauty. A chance to step out of the city and into a place of calm and reflection. From February next year (with a break in January), they will also be a time to perhaps discover an object or book or listen to music or audio. While the chapel will remain an oasis of quiet and contemplation – and a building of architectural and historical interest – it will also be a place to surprise, delight and discover.
Wireless Contemplation
Our audio events focused on figures from Fitzrovia’s cultural legacy will also be held on Wednesday. Look out for news about our programme for next year.
Season by Season
Led by ritual designer Tiu de Haan, Season by Season is a new offering for 2020 at the Fitzrovia Chapel. Presented as four evening Wednesday events, they will be a chance to pause in the company of others and reflect on the passing of the year and its seasons in the middle of a busy city. This series of free gentle gatherings will take place under the chapel’s starry ceiling and provide a relaxed, creative and contemplative event to which all are welcome
January news
While we are making these changes – and important renovation work – we will be closing the chapel for open days during January. This means that the last open day of 2019 will be Wednesday 18 December and the first open day of 2020 will be Wednesday 5 February. Open day hours will remain between 11:00 and 16:00.
